The artist eL Seed in association with 81 Designs visited the Ain El-Helwih refugee camp in southern Lebanon, and created seven murals with women and children within the camp. The project, titled ‘The Journey’ showcases the artist’s message of peace, unity and coexistence and is inspired by the words of the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. The artworks on each of the seven walls painted in the camp have also been hand-stitched in the traditional Palestinian Tatreez embroidery on canvas by refugee women artisans.
